Circuit City Ensemble is an orchestra of inanimate objects, all accustomed to playing one particular kind of music. Signal, a solemn conductor, acts responsibly and establishes discipline. However, upon the introduction of a new genre to the band, its harmony is disrupted. Information previously kept away causes chaos and the band struggles to operate in cohesion.
Circuit City Ensemble acts as an analogy for the way new information often challenges existing power structures.
All animated projections were mapped onto the objects and played in real-time along with synchronized sound. Sound design primarily includes multiple compositions by Vivaldi and The Light Pours Out of Me by Magazine.
