Challenging contemporary socio-political and technological discourses, Planchette Bot is an artistic experiment using artificial intelligence and machine learning to resurrect global historical figures such as Mahatma Gandhi, Albert Einstein, Nelson Mandela, and Martin Luther King Jr, among others. Planchette Bot facilitates a current conversation with these eminent thought leaders on the state of the world, in a series of exhibitions, performances and broadcasts, open to the audience for participation. The bot will be developed using a custom-built neural network driven by state of the art artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies, using archival audiovisual datasets assembled through rigorous research.
